HOW WE CHANGE LIVES We believe in supporting every single disadvantaged child in our community to allow them to complete their modern level education which is necessary for them to develop into well rounded young adults possessing qualities that will help them to compete in today’s complex environment. . For this purpose we extend: . Private tutoring to assist students challenged by a complex educational system . Psychological support and mentoring . Scholarship and other education related assistance . Many students once aided by this organization, choose to come back as volunteers in their adult lives and give back in different ways. . Every well educated, healthy, productive and successful young adult previously supported by our organization is a source of deep pride for more than 60 dedicated volunteers and 6 staff who work hard to insure this result for as many students as we can reach. HOW WE MANAGE TO EXTEND ASSISTANCE We encourage that our association’s special cards for celebrating Jewish Holidays and special personal occasions are sent by members of our community. . The members of the MT Women Volunteers Committee make marzipan based on centuries old traditional Sephardic recipes and our traditional sweet is an important source of donations. . Private benefactors from the Jewish Community of Turkey as well as a small number from overseas extend support. . A very special in-kind support is extended by our previous assistance recipients who have wanted to express their appreciation. Many such beneficiaries help by coaching, giving private lessons to today’s students in need of extra tutoring. |
